As we know, any time people or institutions are asked to change something, it usually happens over time rather than all at once. Easing into changes that may take place often allows people time to adapt and accept what is to come. Such is the case when implementing the Pastoral Plan for our diocese. Some parishes have embraced sharing, have taken on new ways of doing business, and others have been assigned new pastors. We have more knowledge now than we had when the Pastoral Plan was adopted in December 2008, and we recognize that adjustments to the Plan may be needed along the way. It is important to give our parish leaders some tools and examples of things that have been successful in parishes throughout the diocese to date and these can be found here.
