Are You a Family Seeking Assistance?

We are blessed to have a Sister Inma Cuesta as the official Latino Liaison for The Segura Initiative.  With Sister Inma’s fluency in the Spanish language, excellent cultural awareness, and understanding of the needs and experiences of many Latino families in Virginia, she will develop a personal relationship with each family, introduce the family to the Catholic schools, and assist each family with the enrollment and financial aid process.  She will make home visits, provides transportation to the school of interest for an introductory visit, and will then continue as the families’ liaison to the school once the child(ren) are enrolled in the school.

Tuition Assistance:  Through active community fundraising, tuition assistance for families who seek admission to one of our 29 schools in the Diocese of Richmond will be provided for those families in need.  Families must show demonstrated need by submitting applications for Financial Aid through FACTS (Sister Inma will help each family with this process):

All families seeking financial aid from the MPF must complete a FACTS application form including supporting documents by March 1, 2012.  Applicants can apply online at www.factstuitionaid.com.

The following information is required in order for FACTS to process your application:

1. Completed online application.
2. Payment of the $25 application fee.
3. Copies of your most recent federal tax return including all schedules.
4. Copies of your 2010 W2 for both you and your spouse.
5. Copies of supporting documentation for Social Security Income, Welfare, Child Support, Food Stamps, Workers' Compensation, and TANF.
6. Fax supporting documents by March 1, 2012 to: 1-866-315-9264 (Access to FAX machines may be available at your school.)

FACTS will verify supporting documents and assess a family's ability to pay and need determination.

**Families interested in enrolling for the 1st time for the 2011-2012 school year should fax supporting documents by July 1st, 2011 to: 1-866-315-9264 (Access to FAX machines may be available at your school).
