Position: Director of Religious Education

St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Yorktown, Virginia is seeking a Director of Religious Education (DRE). The responsibilities of this position include working with the pastor and parish staff in a spirit of collaboration and professionalism; developing and monitoring the catechetical programs and events for children and formation of all catechists and catechetical leaders.

The Director of Religious Education must be a Catholic in good standing, a self-starter, and exhibit good communication skills. The DRE must be adept at planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating parish religious education programming. Masters Degree in Religious Education preferred, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Catechetics, Education, Youth Ministry or a related field, as well as several years of experience as a catechist or teacher.

The position of Director of Religious Education is a regular full-time (40 hours per week) exempt position with all eligible benefits.
