Position: Director of Nursing, St. Joseph's Home for the Aged

Little Sisters of the Poor operate St.
Joseph’s Home for the Aged on the West End of Richmond and
are known
internationally for the tender, loving care that is given in
their facilities throughout the world.
We are seeking a dynamic, talented, and dedicated Director of Nursing to lead the nursing team of St. Joseph’s Home for the Aged. The DON is responsible for all clinical oversight and programs facility-wide. The ideal candidate will have proven organizational, leadership, and clinical skills in a long-term care environment and a passion for serving the elderly.
Some of the primary responsibilities of the position include:
- Overall management of day-to-day clinical operations
- Staff training and development
- Collaboration with all departments and administration to achieve a holistic approach to care for the elderly, and integration of nursing within a resident-centered environment which strives to be a Home for seniors
Qualified candidates must have:
- An RN licensed in Virginia without restrictions
- Prior experience as a Director of Nursing Services in a long-term care environment
- Expertise in federal and Virginia regulations in both Medicaid and Assisted Living facilities
- Proven leadership, mentoring, and team building skills
- Drive to embrace a unique vision of holistic care of the elderly
