Resources

For those involved in youth, young adult, or campus ministry, there are a myriad of resources available to help you accomplish the mission of the Church to evangelize and hand on the faith. The Office for Evangelization of Youth and Young Adults does not mandate any particular program, so long as it is faithful the Magisterium in its teachings.

YOUTH

Adolescent catechesis for grades 9-12 within a parish should follow the Adaptation of Doctrinal Elements of a Curriculum Framework for the Development of Catechetical Materials for Young People of High School Age For Use in Parish and Youth Ministry Programs.

Remember that no book or program is out-of-the-box ready. In order to be effective any program or resource must be adapted for your parish youth and led by a trained team.

The USCCB Adaptation Framework can be found HERE
The USCCB Full Curriculum Framework can be found HERE

For those looking at models of youth ministry and curriculum, retreat resources, prayer books, Bibles, and more, you are encouraged to visit our growing list of online resources HERE.

YOUNG ADULTS & CAMPUS OUTREACH

Young Adults (18-29) are strongly encouraged to continue on a path of conversion through spiritual and intellectual formation.

The current Diocesan Commission for Young Adults is busy preparing a resource to help those in positions of leadership within the parish to implement, grow, and sustain solid formation for young adults.

In the meantime, if you are looking for a good Bible Study, retreat resource, speaker for your event, or just some good reading material please feel free to make use of our growing list of online resources HERE.

All young adults on college and university campuses throughout the diocese are strongly encouraged to connect with the Catholic Campus Ministry on campus. Find your college or university HERE.
