Wise County Summer Mission
Thursday, August 15 – Sunday, August 18
The Wise County Summer Mission is part mission, part retreat. This is an opportunity for young adults (18+) to serve our brothers and sisters in the far southwest corner of our diocese. Ours is a mission diocese. There are about 250,000 Catholics in the diocese and the majority of those are concentrated in the large urban areas. In the rural southwest, Catholics are fewer in number and don’t have as much opportunity to see the Universal Church as young and vibrant. This mission is an opportunity to bring that great witness and to serve people’s spiritual and physical needs by using the gifts God has given us as young Catholics.
The cost for this four-day domestic mission is only $50.
